Structure–performance correlations in the hybrid oxide-supported copper–zinc SAPO-34 catalysts for direct synthesis of dimethyl ether from CO2

Growing CO2 emissions lead to global warming, which is currently one of the most challenging environmental phenomena. Direct catalytic hydrogenation dimethyl ether over hybrid catalysts enables utilization, hydrogen and energy storage produces sustainable fuels an important platform molecule. In this paper, we evaluated structure–performance correlations in bifunctional copper–zinc SAPO-34 for direct synthesis via prepared using zirconia, alumina ceria used as oxide carriers. Higher copper dispersion higher conversion rate were uncovered zirconia supported followed by counterpart. The seems be principally favoured a lesser extent depends on concentration Bronsted acid sites studied catalysts. Because lower reverse water gas-shift activity, catalyst exhibited yield compared counterparts.
